Basel is Switzerland's architectural capital. Hardly any other region is home to so many internationally active architecture firms. In order to visibly develop the diverse potential of building culture, expertise and enthusiasm that exists in the city and region, the Architektur Dialoge foundation has initiated a new biennial platform for architecture and urban development: the Basel Architecture Week (BAW).

The second edition of the AWB is dedicated to transformations and dynamics in the urban environment that offers us comfort and security. It sheds light on what is usually invisible in the city – what is not seen and not cared for in the same way as what is visible in the city. The aim of AWB 24 is to understand these invisible forces in our built environment and to use them as tools for a reorientation of architecture. AWB 24 makes this visible through walks, bicycle tours, readings, dialogues, exhibitions and podcasts.
