Top transport connections

Whether you are travelling by plane, boat, train, bus or car, Basel has not only the best connections to the entire world but also offers extremely modern transportation infrastructure. Railway lines from the four corners of the world intersect here, and the motorway is the main hub of the European transport network. The centrally located SBB railway station offers excellent access to transport links. The EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg is only seven kilometres from the city centre and offers direct connections to many European cities as well as intercontinental connections via Zurich, Frankfurt, Paris or other major European gateways.

Wide cultural and culinary choice

Basel offers a wide range of high quality 3-, 4-, and 5-star hotels, with a total capacity of some 5000 rooms. To complete the picture, Basel has about 500 restaurants offering wide choice of gastronomy from all over the world, numerous museums and theatres and its old town whose bars, cafés, and shops invite one to stroll, linger, and shop.
